Jackson is a hub for artists and musicians in the West. Jackson’s world-renowned symphony, the Grand Teton Music Festival, performs each summer in Teton Village to sold-out audiences. The 4th of July "Music in the Hole" event is broadcast live nationwide on NPR.
For local flavor or big-name bands, many of the area’s bars offer nightly live entertainment year round. If you are looking for some wild western family fun, the rodeo takes place twice a week in the summer, and there are several companies that run chuckwagon dinner shows, with cowboy poetry, western songs, and traditional cowboy fare.
For the art lover, the National Museum of Wildlife Art offers the largest collection of wildlife art in the nation, and Jackson Hole is home to over 30 galleries, featuring western art, sculpture, wildlife photography and more. There are art fairs throughout the summer and fall, showcasing the talents of local and regional artists and craftspeople. Summer in Jackson Hole is one big festival, with Old West Days, the Mountain Man Rendezvous, antique shows, classic car shows, brew fests, the Fall Arts Festival, music fests, and film fests. Additionally, this small town’s theatres, shops and dining opportunities are world-class.
